Smoothing Cream 10% simultaneously exfoliates and moisturizes
Fruit acids are active ingredients that effectively speed up the skin renewal process.
The outermost layer of the skin is known as the epidermis. The epidermis of young and healthy skin will renew itself every month. 95% of the epidermis is composed of keratinocytes. They initially reside in the lower part of the epidermis. However, as they move up towards the final barrier layer of the skin (stratum corneum), they are subject to a programmed cell death and end up as dead skin cells.
These cells have positively contributed throughout the process but their function is of diminishing value the longer they remain on top of the skin.
Dead skin cells carry fats that help the skin form a strong skin barrier and provide protection. However, through accumulation, it could also create several problems such as rough and lifeless skin, lines, hyperpigmentation, large pores, and impurities.
Smoothing Cream is the two-in-one product that simultaneously exfoliates and moisturizes. The product contains concentrated glycolic acid (10%) and is suitable for most skin conditions and age groups.
A cream containing glycolic acids will be highly effective for those with a combination of skin problems such as rough pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and dull skin (lost its glow).
5 Good reasons to use Smoothing Cream:
- Removes dead skin cells
- Improves moisture levels
- Minimizes pores and reveals a smoother skin
- Reduces fine lines
- Reveals a healthier and more even skin tone (pigmentation)
How To Use:
The Smoothing Cream is an active night cream that could be applied daily, but that we recommend gradually easing into 3-4 times/week.
Start by using the Smoothing Cream 10% if your skin has a low tolerance to glycolic acid or no prior experience with similar types of acid. Use a serum or gel under the Smoothing Cream if your skin is dry and sensitive. A more active treatment will consist of applying either Acticlear Pads or Elixir Pads to the skin before the Smoothing Cream to promote a more active skin renewal process.
